What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing method developed by Dr Mikao Usui in the early twentieth century.
The word Reiki consists of two Japanese characters:
Rei – Universal Wisdom or Universal Life
Ki – Life Energy
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels universal life energy to support the body’s natural healing processes.
Reiki is not a massage and does not replace medical treatment. It is a complementary therapy that works alongside conventional healthcare and supports physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing.
